Spiderman Actor Tom Holland Has Shot His Peter Parker Cameo For Civil War

        Superhero movies usually end up ditching the mask in the climactic scenes so they can see the face of the star behind. But after the success of Iron Man where we don’t see the face in the costume most of the time, it has become the norm for other superhero movies to do the same. After all, they wouldn't want their lead to do the stunts all the time and get hurt. It can also save them some time where the star wouldn't be needed on the filming location, with the scenes being filmed by a stuntman instead. And now that stars are signed up for multi-picture deals, this method will help them keep their stars from getting tired of playing the role.

This is what happened with Spider-man, who has apparently shot his scenes on Marvel's Captain America: Civil War even before they found an actor to play as Peter Parker. In an interview with the Vulture, Spectacular Spider-Man writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein told that the cameo is already done. Goldstein talks about going to Marvel to look at the footage of Tom Holland's came as Peter Parker in the upcoming film. "We hear good things," he said. "We might even get to look at the Spidey suit, which is exciting."

Even though Tom Holland has just finished his Peter Parker cameo in the filming location, this doesn't mean that he is yet to film the Spider-Man scenes. Spider-Man has been on the filming location for a while now, being played by stunt men. Tom Holland is only needed for the Peter Parker scenes, and can simply record his dialogue over the scene in a studio somewhere.

  With all this talk of a costume, one photo of the outfit is yet to appear online. There were some rumors of a fanart that became the basis of the home-made costume, but those are simply speculation for now. Another rumor that appeared was the cast list that was leaked online earlier. Daley was quick to dismiss this, saying that "We've discussed the characters, but nothing is certain yet, for sure".

Whether Spider-Man will be in the movie for an extended time or just a small cameo, we have yet to confirm. But fans definitely hope that he has more scenes than a cameo. Essentially fighting alongside the Avengers and such. What we've heard from Birth Movies Death however, is that whether a small cameo or not, his fight scene will get the fans excited, not because of how epic it is, but because of how dorky and unlikely the superhero fight will be. If it's true, then the battle will surely be one of the most anticipated scenes in Captain America: Civil War when it opens to theaters on May 6th, 2016.

Should The Fantastic Four Sequel Feature Namor Or The Silver Surfer?

       

          Fantastic Four is yet to open to theaters this August 7, but 20th Century Fox already has plans on having a sequel set for release on 2017. The verdict might still be up whether the Fantastic Four reboot delivers both critically and financially, but if it does there's no escaping the thought of what the future might hold for the newly rebooted franchise. Which villain should the Fantastic Four face for the sequel? The cast has some ideas on who it should be.

The reboot will introduce us to perhaps the most famous villain that the Fantastic Four has ever faced, Dr. Doom, but it will also set up one character that will probably be back for the sequel. Tim Blake Nelson is set to play the Mole Man, but we will see him first in the movie as a politician involved with the team. Whether he would play the main villain for the sequel is still up to debate, but he has confirmed on signing on for future installments.

In an interview with Comicbook.com, Jamie Bell - the actor who plays Ben Grimm aka The Thing - wants to see one character back in the big screen. "You can't get away from Silver Surfer. I know chronologically speaking that was the next villain in the previous franchise but I think Silver Surfer is cool looking." The Silver Surfer is one of the most iconic characters in Marvel, so it's no surprise that some would want to revisit his character. But after the less than stellar sequel of the previous Fantastic Four franchise, it's obvious that Fox would want to steer away from that direction.

Michael B. Jordan ( Johnny Storm / The Human Torch) on the other hand would like to see another mutant in Fantastic Four 2, one that could possibly work in the right hands. "Namor is a cool one." The actor said. "By far, he's the strongest mutant. You know what I'm saying? Maybe not by far, but he's the strongest mutant. It would be a pretty interesting battle, the Fantastic Four vs. Namor."

As of yet however, it could be hard to have the Submariner appear in the sequel considering the rights for Namor are currently owned by Universal Studios. If they do plan on bringing him to the fold, they would have to make a deal with Universal, possibly the same as what Marvel did with Sony to bring Spider-Man to the filming location of Captain America: Civil War.

So far it's all just speculation, as the sequel is far from starting production, even more to have a filming location announced. We'll see how the reboot goes, and then maybe we can start speculation on what the sequel would bring. The sequel is set to release on June 9th, 2017. For now, catch the first superhero family battle Doom when Fantastic Four comes to theaters on August 7, 2015.

Channing Tatum Officially Signed On For X-Men Spinoff 'Gambit'

          It's official, Channing Tatum is playing Gambit in an upcoming solo movie. This news comes after the rumors earlier this week that says Tatum was planning on leaving the project set for 2016, which was a huge surprise to fans since he recently appeared at Comic-Con with a Gambit shirt on the Fox panel. But now that he has officially signed on it's time to throw those rumors away.

            The news came from The Hollywood Reporter who confirmed that Channing Tatum is signed on to play Remy LeBeau in the X-Men spinoff. Although they also say that it actually did have some trouble along the way, as negotiations almost fell through between 20th Century Fox and Tatum. It should be noted that this project only came to be since Tatum publicly showed his love for the character and having known X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner also helped in his petition to play the part. Way back in 2013, when asked if he had a superhero in mind to play, he said that "I would like to play Gambit. Gambit is my favorite, because I'm from New Orleans, or around that area. My dad is from New Orleans and I'd love to do that." Just like what happened to Ryan Reynolds who is now leading in his own X-Men spinoff with 'Deadpool', development for this film would not have happened without the passion and interest that the actors have shown for their favorite characters.

            Now about his cameo as Gambit in X-Men: Apocalypse who is currently shooting on the filming location in Montreal, it's sad to say that he won't be appearing in the said X-Men film. This might be due to Fox wanting to give him a more proper introduction in the X-Men universe rather than a quick cameo in the already filled cast of the movie. Deadpool in the other hand has no news on the matter if he will be appearing there. With three movies next year, Fox does have a lot of work ahead of them so polishing the tiny details might be more important than showing cameos.

            Tatum hopes that his Gambit, a mutant with the ability to control kinetic energy, would be anchor to the entire franchise just as Wolverine did in the last 15 years. After Hugh Jackman's plans to leave the franchise, Fox would definitely want to find another bankable action star to headline their movies and Tatum looks like he could be that star.

Production for the movie is planned to begin this fall, with Rise of the Planet of the Apes director Rupert Wyatt attached to helm the movie. The filming location will be at New Orleans and casting for the film is currently ongoing. Tatum will produce and star in said film, hopefully having his Cajun accent perfected by the time they begin. With a script ready and a $150 million budget, Gambit looks to be another blockbuster by Fox. Gambit opens to theaters on October 7th, 2016.

Live-Action 'Naruto' To Be Developed By Lionsgate

Naruto's story came to a touching conclusion last year, but it looks like it's not the last that we will see of the titular hero. Apparently Lionsgate has acquired the rights for the popular Japanese manga/anime 'Naruto'. The manga first debuted in 1999, being written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto, and ran publication until 2014. Its initial success led to an anime adaptation in 2000, followed by the sequel Naruto: Shipuuden. The story chronicles a young ninja named Naruto who gets in numerous mischievous missions throughout the ninja world while dreaming of someday becoming the Hokage (ninja leader of their village). Unbeknownst to him, there is a powerful mystical creature trapped inside his body that was sealed there when he was born.

According to the Tracking Board, Lionsgate is currently in talks with visual effects / animation artist Michael Gracey to direct the live-action Naruto film. The filming locations would still be far off considering there is no screenwriter yet to be attached in the film, but producer of Ghost in the Shell and the Spider-Man franchise Avi Arad is said to be a big fan of the series and will produce the film via his Arad Productions. Overseeing the production wll be Erik Feig, Geoff Shaveitz, and Kelly O’Malley.

Gracey initially began work on visual effects and animation, but he has now moved to directing feature films with a bunch of movies attached to his name. As of now he is working for Warner Bros on a movie adaptation of Road Dahl's 'The Witches' to be produced by Alfonso Cuarón and Guillermo Del Toro. He is also set to direct the Elton John biopic 'Rocketman' by Focus Features and the Jim Henson biopic 'Muppet Man'. Although what others might be expecting is his first feature film debut as a director of 20th Century Fox's musical 'The Greatest Showman on Earth', lead by Hugh Jackman and set to be released in 2016.

The franchise's fantastical elements mixed with martial arts made the anime into a very popular show for children, having aired in US channels such as Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Disney XD, as well as Adult Swim's Toonami. The manga was also a popular read for all types of people, earning it an avid worldwide fanbase. It had it's fair share of animated feature films, but a live-action film would be quite a tall order since Hollywood hasn't really done a great job of adapting anime shows so far.

We have yet to see a good film adaptation of a popular manga franchise, but here's hoping this adaptation will do the manga justice. If you remember hollywood's last attempt with Dragonball: Evolution that didn't quite fare well with fans and critics, it seems like Lionsgate would have to give their best if they want to produce a good Naruto film. We have yet to see Gracey's directorial work but having a background in special effects would help this action packed anime turned into a good live-action movie. Here's hoping they actually use a Japanese filming location considering its influence from ninjas in ancient Japan.
