Doctor Strange won’t be hitting theatres until November 15, but the excitement for Marvel’s next blockbuster movie is already at an all-time following positive reactions from different critics and journalists. Now the question is, “Can Doctor Strange still make this new flip of origin story exciting”? Can it score another striking smash? The answer looks YES.

Doctor Strange is considered as Marvel’s weirdest movie by far. The new hero origin movie blazes afire with impressive reviews, from its hypnotic visuals, to Cumberbatch’s performances and the origin story itself.

Critics believe that the formulaic Marvel Studios can deliver an entirely interesting big screen hit in the form of Doctor Strange. It’s the most recent proof of a great talent on and behind the screen. And just like you, I’m so excited to watch this move in the big screen. But before that, here are some attention-worthy Doctor Strange reviews that you should know before watching it.

The movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange, a very narcissistic wealthy guy who learns unimaginable things that an ordinary guy can never learn- that there’s not just single universe and that there is bunch of magical guys whose job is to protect the earth from mystical nemesis. As he is driving one night, he ended up in a road crash and lost his hands. His life entirely changed. Until he makes his way to Kathmandu, Nepal and train to be a sorcerer by The Ancient One, portrayed by Tilda Swinton. Then and there, he will be trained to be a powerful yet humble hero.

Doctor Strange boasts a decent amount of clever aspects not only in the screenplay but most especially in the trippy action scenes and visual tricks. I was amazed with the Inceptionare effects, with high-rise buildings bending themselves, but this one is way better. I love the 2001-Star-Gate-sequence-themed trippy multiverse shots, fight-on-the-wall, the upside down, jump-to-this-dimension scene and the way how the good guys use their mystical powers. Plus, the 3D has also dramatically improved. Yes, meticulous movie faultfinder like me has so many good things to say about the movie.

Praises and complements have heaped out about the social effects, too. The composer, Michael Giacchinos, whose past pieces include Lost, Jurassic World, Xmen Apocalypse And The Incredibles, also receive impressive reviews from critics because of his distinctive score.

But there are some negatives that didn’t pass by the altruistic and keen eyes of the critics.  For instance, I found out that the sense of humor is a bit out of place particularly with some of the movie’s darker tones. It also has a few classic Marvel chiches such as the better-than-average villain. But despite of these simple setbacks, the overall consensus looks great. The rest of it is all good and it feel fresh and interesting making it one of Marvel’s vivid superhero spectacle.

Now I won’t spoil the fun for you viewers! At the end of the movie, I think that it is really about what it should leave its audience thinking about. More than just a distinctive film, it is a visually spectacular superhero entertainment that Marvel fans should never miss out.

X-Men: Apocalypse - Why You Shouldn't Miss This Marvelous Movie

After seeing all the X-Men films, you might surely want another installment, right? Well, brace yourself again to another electrifying X-Men Movie as it takes you to a time shifted forward 10 years after the events of the X-Men: Days of the Future Past. But whether or not this two-and-a-half hour-movie will make money is not the question among movie enthusiasts. A better question instead is, “Will it evolve or die”?

X-Men Apocalypse is the third film in the prequel trilogy which shifted 10 years after the events of the X-Men: Days of Future Past. It is a superhero extravaganza that discuss extreme traffic control issues resembling a bumper-car nightmare. While it features a jumbled sets of many characters, it also aims to shuffle multitude of mutants and other powerful characters into an exciting story of resurrected Gods who are ready to take on the world.

Is X-Men: Apocalypse worth to watch for? Well, there’s a lot of things to see in this movie. This includes the powerful god mutant dubbed as En Sabah Nur who was awakened after a hundred of years of dormancy to spread fear and disgust to the modern world with his nightmarish mission.

Meanwhile, the superheroes are set cool. New Scott Summers Students Tye Sheridan and Jena Grey will set out at first to control their superpowers. There’s Jennifer Lawrence, a blue-skinned mystique who’s on her quest to help endangered mutants. The superheroes will then find their way to defeat the super villain En Sabah Nur.

The characters are introduced with different pasts and powers while binding up a tonal variety that is not present to other superhero films. Another remarkable thing about X-Men: Apocalypse is that it has been augmented with rambunctious humour that will keep the audience energised and entertained all throughout the movie. If there’s one thing that this movie wants to tell, it’s that it does not need to have glowering heroes and repressed trauma victims to come up with an entertaining superhero story.

The setting has a lot of twists to show, too. According to trusted Hollywood movie reviews, a decade after Days of the Future Past, the plot is applauded not only due to its sporadic glimpse of a boom box but also because of the poofy hairstyles that you can’t afford to miss. The conflict arises when CIA agent Moira (Rose Byrne) accidentally awakens En Sabah Nur, who will then gather all the villain mutants to fulfill his mission of dominating the world. With his bid to ask Magneto to join his team, Charles Xavier including his students will then step into the scene.

While X-Men Apocalypse seems to be a throwback to a less sophisticated era, it presents a better series installments for X-Men fans. It prides its colourful sequence, diverse superpowers, convincing special effects, alluring portrayals of high-caliber Hollywood stars and an exciting resolution to conflicts. If you have been fascinated by the previous X-Men movies, Apocalypse surely got great reasons why you need to sit down inside the cinema house for more than two hours. a

Chris Evans Weighs In On The Future Of Superhero Movies

The superhero genre is a big hit in Hollywood right now. Every year there are tons of superhero films being released. Just this year we saw the premiere of Marvel's second superhero team-up in Avengers: Age of Ultron and the last film in their Phase Two initiative – Ant-Man. There's also Fox's failed attempt at rebooting their other franchise besides the X-Men – Josh Trank's dark and gritty Fantastic Four. While some of these failed to impress the critics and the movie audiences, it's still another addition into the ever growing list of superhero films produced just this decade. Even more interesting, next year will be the release of a lot of big superhero films from popular properties such as Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Captain America: Civil War, Deadpool, and X-Men Apocalypse to list a few. While some might agree with Steven Spielberg that superhero films will go “the way of the western” (fade off in popularity), other artists are still optimistic about the future of the genre.

Chris Evans is one of these optimists. After all, he was a part of the rise of this genre when he played the Human Torch in 2005's Fantastic Four and its sequel. And right now he's starring in his third  solo film as Captain America, one of the most popular heroes from Marvel. He left the Civil War filming location recently to promote his directorial debut “Before We Go”, and in an interview with Collider he was asked about his thoughts on Spielberg's statement.

According to Evans, the improvement of technology is what drives the genre, as well as other types of films that makes use of this technological advancement:

“I certainly think that given the fact that technology has finally advanced, they’re always going to be looking for other films to match their technological accomplishments. Any film that can incorporate these larger-than-life characters and fantastical locations and plots, the technology wants to prove they can do it so whether it’s superhero film or fantasy in general, that’s going to surge for a while.”

He also stated that for the superhero genre to last longer, it has to be approached with something new to add to the table and keep reinventing the genre:

“In terms of superhero in general, existing properties that we know and love, it’s going to be a matter of the tone they strike. You could look at Jason Bourne as a superhero. You could take any superhero movie and if you ground it enough, if you make it real enough—that’s what I think [Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors Joe and Anthony Russo] do really well. Certain superhero movies feel like “superhero movies.” Russo movies almost feel like human stories with a little bit of superhero sprinkled in. So you might get exhausted of the larger-than-life powers I suppose, but as long as the filmmakers keep on reinventing the flavor and the approach and the tone, audiences are going to still go.”

From what it seems like, future superhero films are already adding other elements to the mix. Marvel's attempt at a Spider-Man reboot will be akin to a John Hughes film, while David Ayer compared his Suicide Squad to the Dirty Dozen. Whether this will be successful in preventing it from going the way of the western or not, we'll have to wait and see. If Evans is right, then the genre might last longer. Chris Evans will likely be moving to the next filming location for Captain America: Civil War, which premieres to theaters on May 6, 2016.
