The final installment of the Avengers movie series finally screened almost everywhere around the world and being a Marvel fan myself; I was preparing for this very moment for quite a long time now. As spoilers and leaked footage have lurked the Internet just hours after the world premiere, I tried my best to keep away from them as much as I can to avoid getting too excited or disappointed.
So, because of that, I decided to write down all my queries about it and share the latest Hollywood movie blog to all of you. Here are fifteen questions I was left with after watching Avengers: Endgame.
1. Did They Die After The Snap?
The first part of this final duo movie ended with Thanos successfully collecting all of the Infinity Stones and snapping his fingers to wipe out half of all living creatures and turning them into dust, including some of our beloved superheroes. But did they die? If not, where did they go?
2. Is Avengers: Endgame Truly The Final Avengers Movie?
Marvel has been hinting that Endgame will be the final movie for the Avengers installment. However, it seems impossible to accept. Nevertheless, the movie made it feel like it truly was the end for the team, but there are still many pending Marvel hero movies to come.
3. Was Thanos Satisfied With His Successful Plan?
In the movie, Thanos was found on a beautiful planet all alone. He seemed alright, but somewhat lonely even after the success of his plans. So, was he really happy with how everything turned out? Did he not feel an ounce of regret at all?
4. How Did Nebula Survive After Killing Her Past Self?
The only option for the team to save everyone who turned into dust was to go back in time. Nebula was part of that plan, and she had to go back to her planet, her father, and her sister to retrieve one of the stones. However, things got messy until she had to kill her past self. But, shouldn’t her future self be dead too?
5. Was Their Time Travel Plan Successful All The Way?
Their time travel plan worked all right, but there were times in the past where they had to interact with their past self, or a dead loved one. Usually, going back in time and interacting with people from that timeline comes with consequences. So, are we to expect the effects of those interactions in a future Marvel film?
6. Where Did Loki Go After Escaping With The Tesseract?
In the first Avengers movie, the team assembled to fight against Loki and his army for the Tesseract, a.k.a., the Space Stone. If we ever learned something in the Avengers: Infinity War lessons, it’s that you’ll never know what Loki can do next. And during the retrieval in Endgame, Loki ended up escaping with the Tesseract. So where did he go after that and what exactly did he do after?
7. Is There Any Chance Gamora (And The Black Widow) Can Come Back?
Although not in the same timeline, both Gamora and Natasha (Black Widow) died as a sacrifice in exchange of the Soul Stone. But with all the time jumps and after bringing back the stone, are there truly no possibilities for them to be resurrected back to life?
8. When Did Pepper Get Her Suit?
In the epic battle on Endgame, Pepper Potts was present decked with her iron suit. Did Tony have it ready even before Infinity War, or was it an Endgame must-have?
9. What Will Happen Now With The Guardians?
Seeing that Thor gave up his Asgard life behind to the hands of Valkyrie and hitchhiked a ride with the guardians, does this mean Thor will now be part of the Galaxy team? Or is he simply getting a ride back to space?
10. What’s The Deal With Thor’s Hammer?
Thor’s hammer is a majestic tool of power, and it’s always favored whoever was worthy enough to hold it. But in Avengers: Endgame, Captain America ended up wielding the Mjolnir and uses it to battle against Thanos. Did Captain America only became worthy then, or did the Mjolnir had a change of heart?
11. Will There Be New Characters For A New Avengers Film?
Since the entire Avengers team and their friends are no longer complete, does this mean there will be new characters for future movies?
12. Why Did Captain America Give Falcon His Shield?
Nearing the end of the film, Captain America returns to the present time and ends up giving Falcon his iconic shield. Bucky was also there, and since he’s his best friend, you would think he’d pass the shield to him, right? So, why Falcon?
13. Where Did Valkyrie Hide Her Pegasus?
The final standoff against Thanos in Endgame includes Valkyrie riding her Pegasus. Did she have it with her the entire time after Thor: Ragnarok? If so, where did she keep it?
14. What Happened To Captain America When He Lived His Life With Peggy?
Before returning to hand Falcon his shield, Captain America went back in time to fulfill his sought-after life with the love of his life, Peggy Carter. But during those times, several significant Avengers events would have gone about. Did Captain America watch all those events? Did he participate? What else did he do while he was with Peggy?
15. Why Did An Original Avenger Have To Die?
One of the most heartbreaking scenes in Endgame, and among all the Avengers movies, was when Tony Stark died. After all, Tony did start the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the launch of the first Iron Man movie. Apart from Tony, Natasha “Black Widow” Romanoff also sacrificed herself in exchange for the soul stone. However, if you think about it, Natasha’s death may still be malleable, but Tony’s death was made clear and permanent. My question is, why Iron Man?
Final Word
There are still so many more questions I have after watching Endgame, and these are only some of what’s bothered me until now. Still, whatever the answers to these questions may be, I commend the whole team behind the MCU and Avengers: Endgame, specifically, The movie was crafted excellently, and although it wasn’t how I hoped it would turn out, it was truly a beautiful film.
